Cultural & Creative Work

In the past period of time, I have expressed life and human-related themes through web design and graphic design, mainly utilizing techniques such as illustration, front-end programming, and layout.

Graphic Design

Compared to the globalized website designed for a tech company, the following webpage design leans more towards individual and institutional use, and is more customized in design orientation, with the primary goal of meeting the needs of the client.

Mascot Design

In 2014, in order to promote tourism, Kinmen in Taiwan requested the creation of a mascot using the representative deity Wind Lion God, to be advertised online. The style I chose was a cute and humorous image to capture the audience's attention, and I incorporated Kinmen's distinctive architectural features and symbols into the mascot's design."

News Graphics

During my time working for TNL News Media, I was required to write feature news articles and produce videos for YouTube to attract audiences. This illustration was created to depict the struggles of the LGBTQ community in Iran. After writing the script, I had a news anchor provide the voiceover, and I created the illustration in Illustrator, followed by simple animations in After Effects.

Game Character Design

I created a third-person adventure RPG game related to Chinese mythology during my university years. The Chinese dragon in the mythology does not have a concrete form, but there are descriptions of its personality and identity, which provided a higher degree of freedom in terms of visual presentation. For character design, I first drew 2D illustrations and then created 3D models using 3D software. The '椒圖' character was created as a 2D computer illustration, while '狴犴' was created using 3Ds Max.

Poster illustration

The piece 'Nezha: Guardian of the Epoch' was crafted during my exploration of computer graphics in 2010. It renders a modern and Western stylistic take on the traditional Chinese mythological character, Nezha. Adorned in a vividly colored battle garb, Nezha stands poised, brandishing the Fire-tipped Spear, with the dynamic Wind-Fire Wheels in the backdrop creating a sense of movement. The bold color fusion in the background further emphasizes the artwork's vibrancy and contemporary edge.
